    PUEBLO - Built Ford Tough Series points leader Valdiron de Oliveira jumped to top of the leaderboard at the Professional Bull Riders Pueblo Invitation Saturday night.

    Riding a bull named Altercation, the 32 year old Brazilian scored of 87.75 for a two day point total of 176.00.

    He'll need to keep riding well heading into the finals on Sunday to stay ahead of Renato Nunes (172.25) and Robson Palmero (171.00) who also posted high scoring rides.

    Air Academy girls soccer team headed to championships

    The Air Academy girls soccer team will play for the 4A State Championship Wednesday at Dicks Sporting Goods Park.

    The Kadets beat Valor Christian 1-0 Saturday afternoon in the semifinals. They'll play Green Mountain who edged Palmer Ridge 2-1.

    Kadet boys claim state swimming title

    The Air Academy boys swim team won the 4A state championship Saturday thanks in part to an early victory in the 200 yard medley relay.

    The kadets held off D'Evelyn and Cheyenne Mountain to clinch the team title thanks to a second place finish by junior Devon Davis in the 100 yard breaststroke.

    Cheyenne Mountain senior Jonathan Littles clinched an individual title in the the 50 yard free style.
