Daniel Sanchez is an Executive Producer for KOAA News5 in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. He transferred to the team from KSBY News, a fellow EW Scripps station in San Luis Obispo, California.
He began his professional news career in March of 2020, just a few months after graduating from his Alma Mater, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Daniel graduated with a Journalism degree and Broadcast News concentration.
Daniel was born and raised in San Diego, California where his family still lives. He grew up loving sports and played in college at Cal Poly under head coach Tim Walsh. His competitiveness, drive and love for team sports are what draw him to the newsroom.
He has a strong passion for unbiased journalism and storytelling. Daniel looks forward to exploring Colorado and becoming a reliable source for everyone in the surrounding communities.
