Manitou Police ask for public's help with fatal motorcycle crash investigation
Just before midnight on Sept. 4, Manitou officers responded to a traffic accident on W. Highway 24 near the Manitou Avenue overpass. The department said their initial investigation determined the accident to be a single vehicle, motorcycle crash. Now, the department said the follow up investigation determined a second vehicle was possibly involved.
EPCSO responding to shooting in Cimarron Hills area
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is responding to reports of a shooting in Cimarron Hills early Wednesday morning. Deputies said they found the victim at the Maverik gas station on Peterson and Constitution. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Bright skies and cooler air in southern Colorado today
A cold front last night pushed some gusty winds into the area and a much cooler air mass that we will feel mostly through the afternoon. We'll see a mix of sunshine and some clouds today, but generally a sunnier start to the day compared to the last few. The winds will be on the more calm side for the morning and become much gustier in the afternoon.
Cimarron Hills shooting being investigated as homicide
The El Paso County Sheriff's office confirms a deadly shooting in Cimarron Hills is being investigated as a homicide. Deputies responded to the report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Shawnee Drive around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. where one man died.
Man who crashed into group of people in LoDo brawl and fled the scene arrested
Denver police have arrested a man they believe crashed into a group of people in Denver’s Lower Downtown neighborhood before fleeing the scene late last month. Manuel David Saucedo, who faces four charges in connection with the case, reportedly struck two male pedestrians following a large fight in the middle of the street between Market and 20th St. on Aug. 25.
