EL PASO COUNTY — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office have identified two suspects in the shooting of a man left outside a Maverik convenience store in Cimarron Hills last month.

Deputies found a shooting victim outside a gas station in Cimarron Hills on Sept. 18 after receiving calls of shots being fired early that morning.

EPCSO said their investigated led to the arrest of 20-year-old Nicholas Haiden Daniels on second-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault and aggravated robbery charges. They are still searching for the second suspect identified as 21-year-old James Taylor Roberson, shown on the right in the photo above.

Deputies said they found the victim at the Maverik gas station on Peterson Road and Constitution Avenue around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 18. According to deputies, they said it appears the victim was dumped from a vehicle.
EPCSO were working to get surveillance footage from the station to try and identify the vehicle.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities still have not released his name.

This was the second shooting EPCSO responded to in the area. The first shooting happened off Shawnee Drive Sept. 17 around 9:30 p.m.

Deputies have not said whether or not these two shootings are connected.

Authorities said they have an arrest warrant for Roberson on charges of conspiracy, attempted first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault and aggravated robbery. He is described as a white male, 6'0" tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

If anyone has information on Roberson, they are asked to contact the Sheriff's Office immediately at (719) 520-7100. He is considered armed and dangerous, so EPCSO asks the public to not approach him.
