Former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper announced overnight he is running for Senate. Hickenlooper is seeking the Democratic nomination for the 2020 Senate race. If he wins the primary, he will run against Republican Senator Cory Gardner in 2020.

Family to hold another news conference demanding the release of the De'Von Bailey shooting video

Colorado Springs police released footage of the Aug. 3 fatal officer-involved shooting last Thursday. Bailey's family said in a statement that the video was misleading and they want the unedited version of the video to be released.

Pueblo police searching for suspect after man finds vehicle engulfed in flames

A Pueblo man woke up to find his car burning just after midnight Thursday morning. Police said the fire is under investigation and they are looking for a possible suspect in connection to the fire. There was no other damage caused by the flames.

Showers and storms back in the forecast later today

Showers and thunderstorms are back in the forecast with daytime highs landing right around average for this time of year. Any rain today will dry out through this evening with crisp and dry skies by Friday morning.

Young boy attacked by mountain lion in Bailey

A boy was taken to a hospital in Bailey after he was attacked by a mountain lion. Information has not been released about the boy's injuries, and wildlife officers are searching the area for the cat. Residents are asked to keep pets indoors until it is found.
