COLORADO SPRINGS – Autumn’s in full swing, so ’tis the season for all those trees to change their leaves, and also ’tis the season to go peep at those leaves.

We took a ride with Great Outdoors Adventures to show see some of the amazingly transformed portions of the Pike National Forest.  The newly formed family business in Woodland Park specializes in outdoor tours on highways or through the forests utilizing motorized vehicles and bikes.

Fall is a very popular time to hit the trails in Colorado to enjoy the beauty of our state as all the colors come out.  Mother Nature’s display helps calm our souls and also helps bring tourism dollars into the local economy.

While many trees at the higher altitudes are currently dropping leaves, plenty of the lower altitude trees still have their leaves and also are spectacular to look at.

The majority of visitors just take a drive down the highways or county roads for a look at the leaves.  If you have the time, Drew Stoll of Great Outdoors Adventures highly recommends getting out of the car to hike, bike, or ride through areas with aspens or other changing foliage soon.

The end of this colorful season is coming to an end in just a few weeks.
