Permanent homeless shelter to open Tuesday in Pueblo

PUEBLO — The new permanent homeless shelter in Pueblo will open tomorrow.

Work has been going on for months now at the old Wayside Cross building on 4th St.

Money from the city along with more than $1 million in grant money from the state was used to renovate the building.

The Pueblo Rescue Mission will run the permanent shelter. The group has been operating the temporary shelter at 9th and Blake during renovation of the new shelter.
