PUEBLO — The new permanent homeless shelter in Pueblo is close to being finished.

Appliances were installed in the building Friday.

The Pueblo Rescue Mission is running the shelter, and said they hope to have it open by the end of January.

"Every time I come in here I see something new every day and it is phenomenal." said Kathy Klein "It's something I think people will be pleasantly surprised when they see the transformation this building has undergone."

The Rescue Mission is still running the temporary shelter located at 9th and Blake.
