PUEBLO — With the freezing temperatures we're seeing across Southern Colorado, Pueblo is scrambling to get a temporary warming shelter in place, as its homeless have no place to go.
At a City Council meeting Monday night, the issue was discussed. The city will be reaching out to community partners who helped open the shelter last year to see if they can make something happen right now.
There is no timeline though.
A permanent shelter is in the works but it was delayed due to funding. That shelter is expected to be open by late December.
