Military Appreciation Week kicks off at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Active-duty, veteran and retired military members along with those in their household will get 50% off their admission price starting today. This discount will be available through Sunday.

Person critically injured in Springs shooting

Officers were investigating a report of a burglary in the area of S. Nevada Ave. and Brookside St. at around 1:30 a.m. Monday when they heard gunfire. Police are saying the person was shot in the head multiple times and may not survive.

Road work at Marksheffel, Meadowbrook starts Monday

The intersection project will include new traffic signals being installed, new turn lanes being added to Meadowbrook and some minor drainage modifications. El Paso County officials did not specify a project end date.

U.S. Space Command ceremony taking place today

Top-ranking military officials will be gathering at Peterson Air Force Base this morning to recognize the Department of Defense's establishment of U.S. Space Command. President Trump announced a couple weeks ago it would temporarily be headquartered at PAFB.
