Homicide investigation underway in Colorado Springs

Police in Colorado Springs are investigating a suspicious death in the Stetson Hills neighborhood. Officers found a woman dead inside the home off Bow River Drive. They are treating this investigation as a homicide.

Public hearing to take place on Mayor Suthers' 2020 Budget

Colorado Springs residents will have the chance to weigh in on the proposed 2020 City Budget this evening. This year's budget is $23 million more than last year's budget, with most of that going toward public safety.

High fire danger returns to the southern half of our region, from Pueblo County down to the New Mexico border and out into Otero County. The winds will be gusty at times during the morning, but they'll blow much more consistently through the afternoon.

More crews working Highway 24 resurfacing project starting this week

The Colorado Department of Transportation is ramping up the resurfacing work for the Highway 24 project near Manitou Springs. CDOT is urging drivers to stay alert as the project progresses. The $12 million project is expected to completely finish up in early 2020.

Evacuation orders lifted after wildfire in Pueblo

A fast-moving wildfire left behind minor damage thanks to a quick response from the Pueblo Fire Department. PFD said with winds blowing around 30 miles per hour, and some gusts even getting up to 50 miles per hour, their response time was critical.
