New downtown sports arena approved by Colorado Springs City Council

Colorado College's new downtown sports arena, Robson Arena, is one step closer to reality. The Colorado Springs City Council gave final approval for the project in a unanimous vote last night with construction set to begin early next year.

Groundbreaking event to kick off I-25 and Voyager construction

Major construction is starting on one of the largest interchanges in our area - Interstate 25 and Powers Boulevard. The first phase of the project is connecting I-25 to Voyager Parkway. Leaders in Colorado Springs say it's a critical piece of transportation for people in the city and that big changes need to be made to keep cars and revenue flowing

Mild, cloudy day across southern Colorado

After a cold start to the day, we should warm up by the afternoon with highs topping out in the mid 40s to mid 50s. Clouds will be pretty thick at times today, with southern Colorado under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. A weak disturbance moving into the mountains this evening will bring stronger breezes to some spots for the afternoon and evening hours.

210,000 signatures submitted in effort to reintroduce wolves

With a Presidential election, a U.S. Senate race, and already a couple of ballot questions approved for Colorado - a lot of decisions will be made in 2020. The Rocky Mountain Wolf Action Fund is hoping to get another question on the ballot for the election that will ask if you think wolves should be reintroduced in Colorado.

Large parcel of land in Pueblo to be studied for possible development

Nearly 800 acres of land in Pueblo will be studied ahead of possible development. The Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority will be studying Thunder Village, which is east of CSU Pueblo. The hope is to develop the land into a commercial and residential area.
