The latest order by Gov. Jared Polis suspends all dine-in services at bars and restaurants across the state for until April 30. Places where people gather in close proximity or in large numbers, such as gyms, casinos, nail salons, tattoo parlors, and theaters are also under this suspension.

News5 is keeping track of what businesses, places and resources you can continue to use in communities across southern Colorado. If you are a representative of an organization that would like to be included or special accommodations being made for the coronavirus, please reach out via email - news@koaa.com

Resources for workers

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment is offering unemployment benefits if your employer is closed or operating at fewer hours. Their website states "if you work for a ski resort or other employer that closed or reduced your hours to help stop the spread of COVID-19" then you may be eligible to file an unemployment claim.

To find out if you're able to take advantage of this claim, click here for the department's Frequently Asked Questions page.

Restaurants and bars

Restaurants and bars will have to stop dine-in services until April 30 after an executive order was issued by Gov. Jared Polis. Most restaurants, fast-food spots and bars will offer take-out orders or deliveries.

These businesses are encouraged to offer food and beverage using a delivery service, window service, walk-up service, drive-through service, or drive-up service. These establishments may allow up to five members of the public at one time on the premises for the purpose of picking up their food or beverage orders, so long as those individuals are at least six feet apart from one another.

If you're feeling wary about leaving your home, there are still food delivery services operating. Uber Eats is offering to waive delivery fees for independent restaurants in both the U.S. and Canada. During this time, Uber Eats says local restaurants are depending on customer demand to stay afloat. Grubhub is offering no-contact delivery along with DoorDash and Postmates to allow safe distance for both employees and customers.

Here is a map of restaurants that are open for take-out orders and/or deliveries in southern Colorado. For specific information, be sure to call the restaurant.
