BRECKENRIDGE – The sculpting is done, and the massive snow creations that are the cornerstone of the Breckenridge international snow sculpting competition are in place for everyone to enjoy.

The popular ski-oriented town has been hosting this mind boggling competition of cold for 29 years now, and for 29 years, the competition has been fierce and the end results, quite cool (shameless pun intended).

The Breckenridge Tourism Office estimates that the event brings in about 45,000 people each year on average.

This year 16 teams competed hailing from 13 different countries:

  • China
  • Ecuador
  • France
  • Germany
  • Great Britain
  • India
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Mexico
  • Mongolia
  • Turkey
  • USA

Teams spent around 60+ hours during a one week period, tirelessly creating the massive pieces of snow art, which will stay on display until January 30th.
