COLORADO SPRINGS — Hospital leaders offer thanks to all the people who have pulled out sewing machines and spent time making masks for Children’s Hospital Colorado. Cloth mask donations to the hospital are an important element of allowing families in the hospital during the COVID-19 crisis.

As COVID-19 prevention measures evolve and move toward loosening some visitor restrictions, more masks are necessary. "To ensure that our visitors and our parents, they have access to these face coverings when they come to the facility,” said Children’s Hospital Colorado, Southern Region COO, Greg Raymond.

The hope is community members are willing to continue making more masks. “To help our on-going need, which is over 300 face masks a day,” said Raymond.

There are guidelines for making and donating masks. Check the Children's Hospital Colorado website. You can also call the Association of Volunteers at 719-305-7402
