Tonight’s Forecast:

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are dancing through the high country this evening, but will quickly come to an end after sunset.  With an abundance of cloud cover and southerly winds, our overnight lows will stay mild in the upper 40s to lower 50s along I-25 and eastward towards the Plains, 30s and 40s in the mountains.

Getting up early for sunrise services?  Looking nice and mild!  Temperatures will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s around sunrise with a few clouds passing through.  Easter morning looks nice and mild as temperatures will climb into the 60s and clouds will be on the increase.

By Sunday afternoon, isolated thunderstorms and showers will develop in the Pikes Peak region.  The rain activity will be confined mostly to Colorado Springs, the Palmer Divide and Northward in Colorado.  South of Colorado Springs, there will be an isolated rain shower, but the chances continue to diminish the further south you travel.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 64; Low – 50. Morning sunshine, PM showers, isolated thunder.

PUEBLO: High – 72; Low – 50.  Increasing clouds and isolated late day showers.

CANON CITY: High – 67; Low – 48. Mostly cloudy with afternoon showers and storms.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 52; Low – 38. Mostly cloudy with afternoon showers and storms, wintry mix possible.

TRI-LAKES: High – 50s; Low – 40s. Morning clouds with afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

PLAINS: High – 60/50s; Low – 40s. Mostly Cloudy south of I-70 with isolated showers.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 60s; Low – 40s. Mostly Cloudy with isolated showers.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:

Monday and Tuesday will be cooler and cloudier.  A slow moving upper-level area of Low pressure will meander through the 4 corners over the next few days, keeping instability in the atmosphere and cloud cover abundant.  Monday looks to bring scattered, light rain showers and highs in the lower 50s.  By Tuesday, we start to clear things out, but keep rain chances near the mountains and along I-25.  Sun should return by late afternoon with highs in the mid 50s.

The remainder of Easter week looks nice and pleasant as sunshine returns in full force and temperatures climb a handful of degrees each day.
