Fabulous start to Spring!

Tonight’s Forecast:

What a glorious beginning to Spring, today. It “officially” began, calendar-wise, at 3:58 PM, and goes 90 days. Spring can be a crap-shoot here in Colorado, with wild swings, and the potential for Thunder one after noon and snow the next night. But for us, the rest of this week, nothing “crazy”.

High Pressure over eastern Colorado will depart tonight, allowing clouds to increase Thursday, from a storm moving in to southern California. That storm will break up over the mountains, but may still wring out some rain-showers late late Thursday night into Friday. One computer model lets the shower risk linger into midday Saturday, but even if so, it’d clear out then for Sunday, which would turn beautiful.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 27, High: 55. Clear, chilly tonight. Increasing clouds Thursday.

PUEBLO: Low: 25, High: 63. Clear, chilly tonight. Increasing clouds Thursday.

CANON CITY: Low: 28, High: 59. Mostly clear, chilly tonight. Mostly cloudy Thursday.

WOODLAND PARK: Low: 23, High: 48. Clear, chilly tonight. Increasing clouds Thursday.

TRI-LAKES: Low: 24, High: 50.Clear, chilly tonight. Increasing clouds Thursday.

PLAINS: Low: 28, High: 66.  Clear, chilly tonight. Increasing clouds Thursday.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 29, High: 58. Mostly clear, chilly tonight. Mostly cloudy Thursday.

Extended Outlook: Clearing later Saturday, lower 50Fs for a high. Skies fade Sunday, still 50s to 60. The forecast becomes really questionable for Sunday night through Monday night. Model forecasts drastically diverge. My best guess is, increasing clouds Sunday, decreasing clouds Monday, with little or no precip. By the way, after that? Expect widespread 60s almost daily!

Meanwhile, check out the snowpack!
