Summary: So, a series of cold fronts coming through Saturday afternoon (ergo snow showers or flurries, ending early eve), and Sunday late afternoon, and are all progressively shaving back temps and prepping us for an incoming storm…of long duration. Even if the storm itself is not overly intense, the long duration will cause snow to add up over time, and keep roads slick awhile. In addition, it will be bitterly cold from Sunday night through Wednesday morning. This makes unnecessary travel, discouraged, during the time frame of Sunday night Midnight through Monday morning, and Monday evening into Tuesday morning.
My best guess is that snow begins just before Midnight Sunday night, a few inches are on the ground by dawn Monday morning, and it snows on and off through the day, picks back up again at night, where more accumulation happens, and then peters out Tuesday afternoon. Because it will be snowing while super cold, the “fluff-factor” will be sky high.
When all is said and done, I would expect a minimum…or baseline…of the following:
WOODLAND PARK: Low: 12, High: 26. Clearing, less wind this eve, clear overnight. Mostly sunny until mid-afternoon, Sunday. Snow before Midnight.
