Today’s Forecast:

A very mild first weekend of February. Highs today will climb towards the 50’s and 60’s. Skies will be mainly sunny with a few clouds trying to build late in the day. Winds will be breezy for some areas like Pueblo and the mountains.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 59; Low – 32. A pleasant day with sunshine and very mild temperatures.

PUEBLO: High – 64; Low – 30. Breezy and mild today with sunny skies.

CANON CITY: High – 64; Low – 39. A mild day with mostly sunny skies.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 50; Low – 28. Mainly sunny and mild.

TRI-LAKES: High – 50’s; Low – 30’s. A very nice day with sunshine and mild temperatures.

PLAINS: High – 60’s; Low – 30’s. Breezy today with sunny skies and nice temperatures.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 60’s; Low – 30’s. A mostly sunny and mild day with breezy winds.

NEXT WEEK: A few clouds tonight with lows in the 30’s for most. A few extra clouds in the sky, but any snow chances stay confined to the mountains to our west. Winds will be stronger with gusts getting close to 40 mph at times. Those westerly winds will help boost our temperatures. Warmer still on Sunday with highs in the 60’s for most. Temperatures cool a bit into the start of the new work and school week. Highs will be mainly in the 50’s to near 60 for Monday with mainly sunny skies and breezy winds. Snow chances continue for the mountains. Highs will cool a few degrees each day through the middle part of the week. While snow chances persist for the mountains, the lower elevations will stay mainly dry with breezy to windy conditions. Models aren’t doing a great job with a mid week system that would bring the only precipitation chance for the lower elevations. There’s a chance we could see very isolated showers Wednesday into Thursday, but the bigger issue will be much colder air arriving for Thursday. Highs will drop into the 30’s.
