Today’s Forecast:

We’re starting a pretty nice weekend for the last part of January! Temperatures will be improving into the 40’s to near 50 for today after starting off in the 10’s and 20’s. We’ll see a little bit of cloud cover passing through at times. Any snow across the state stays confined to the northern mountains. Mainly clear tonight with lows in the 20’s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 45; Low – 22. A few additional clouds and a nice start to the weekend.

PUEBLO: High – 50; Low – 19. A little milder today with partly cloudy skies.

CANON CITY: High – 49; Low – 24. Partly cloudy and more mild today.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 39; Low – 18.  A few extra clouds and cool temperatures.

TRI-LAKES: High – 30’s; Low – 20. Partly cloudy and a touch milder.

PLAINS: High – 40’s; Low – 20’s. A few more clouds and milder temperatures.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 40’s; Low – 20’s. Milder and partly cloudy today.

NEXT WEEK: A few clouds again on Sunday with even milder temperatures to wrap up the weekend. Highs will be in the 50’s to near 60. A cold front comes through on Sunday night. That will drop temperatures heading into the work and school week. It will also bring some gusty winds and snow chances. Snow looks to arrive along the Palmer Divide before sunrise and spill south through the morning hours. This looks like another quick moving shot of snow. We’re not expecting a ton of accumulation, but we could still see some travel delays, especially over the Palmer Divide. Highs will only be in the 20’s and 30’s with the wind making it feel even colder. The rest of the week will see improvement with mainly sunny skies through the rest of the work and school week. Temperatures will be slowly warming, reaching towards the 50’s again by Friday.
