Friday Evening Weather: Snow ending, nicer weekend

Tonight’s Forecast:

Snow eases up this evening and overnight. Winds will initially allow for blowing snow and drifting before they taper off overnight. Lows will be in the 10’s for most. Watch out for areas that freeze overnight, especially back roads, sidewalks, parking lots, etc.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 17, High – 48. Areas of blowing snow this evening before we see improvement tonight. Better conditions return tomorrow.

PUEBLO: Low – 17, High – 52. Skies and winds improve overnight. Nicer for the weekend.

CANON CITY: Low – 18, High – 50. Improving skies and winds tonight. Milder and drier tomorrow.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 9, High – 38. Skies and winds improve overnight. Better skies on Saturday.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 10’s, High – 40’s. Areas of snow and blowing snow this evening with dangerous travel before we see improvements overnight. Nicer tomorrow.

PLAINS: Low – 10’s, High – 50’s. Areas of snow and blowing snow this evening before skies and winds improve tonight. A better day for Saturday.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 10’s, High – 40’s. Snow ends and winds improve overnight. Mild and nicer tomorrow.

WEEKEND AND NEXT WEEK: Big improvements in time for the weekend. Skies will clear for sunshine on Saturday and after a slick and cold start temperatures will improve towards the 40’s and low 50’s. A few additional clouds on Sunday with highs in the 50’s to low 60’s to wrap up the weekend. Temperatures stay pleasant during the day on Monday ahead of a cold front that looks to move in later on.
