Today’s Forecast:
It was COLD this morning, but sunshine and Colorado’s famous dry air will work together today to make the afternoon a lot more bearable. It will still be cold, but highs in the 30s are much better than highs in the 20s like we saw on Friday. Light snow fell overnight and will be melting down today with strong sunshine, but with another cold night coming tonight, just be careful for icing this evening. Highs will pop up into the low to mid 30s for the lower elevations, and low 30s in the mountains. Tonight, it will be very cold again with light winds and clear skies.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 33; Low – 17. Mostly sunny, cold with light winds and snow melt.

PUEBLO: High – 37; Low – 11. Mostly sunny, chilly with light winds and very dry air.

CANON CITY: High – 38; Low – 20. Mostly sunny, cold with light winds and snow melt.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 30; Low – 12. Mostly sunny, cold with light winds and snow melt.

TRI-LAKES: High – 30s; Low – 10s. Mostly sunny, cold with light winds and snow melt.

PLAINS: High – 30s; Low – 10s. Mostly sunny, chilly with light winds and very dry air.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 30s; Low – 10s. Mostly sunny, cold with light winds and snow melt.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
Incredible weather is on the way for Sunday with full sunshine through the most of the day and highs up into the 40s and 50s! Enjoy it, because a very strong cold front will rush through the state Sunday night and bring with it highs in the 20s for Monday, strong winds, and even snow. Right now the snow still looks on the light side, but systems out of the northwest can sometimes surprise everyone. The bigger story for New Years Eve will be the cold and windy conditions.
