Tonight’s Forecast: Above average through the evening hours. Areas of clouds will be around with lows tonight in the 30’s and 40’s. Winds will be breezy as a cold front moves through, shifting the winds to the north and bringing in colder air for the rest of the week.

REST OF THE WEEK: A big cold front drops temperatures by about 30 degrees for Tuesday with highs only in the 30’s and 40’s. Rain, changing to snow, will arrive throughout the day and really kick up for the evening and overnight. Skies slowly dry Wednesday morning. Accumulations will range from 1-3″ for lower elevation areas of the plains to 3-6″ for some of our higher elevation areas like the Palmer Divide and Teller County. Areas of the Wets and Sangres will accumulate even more, especially the higher up in elevation. Skies work on drying out on Wednesday with highs only in the 30’s and 40’s. Plan on a chilly night for Trick-or-Treat and snow still on the ground for many areas. Mainly dry for the rest of the week with highs a touch below average.
