Today’s Forecast:

Cooler air has arrived and we’ll really feel for the next several days. Highs today will try to reach the 50’s for the lower elevations, 40’s for the higher elevations. Clouds this morning and we could see a few areas of drizzle or light rain with those clouds. Skies try to improve a bit later today with more areas of sun this afternoon. Winds will be breezy with some gusts over 20 mph. Low clouds build in with chances for showers overnight. Lows in the 30’s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 51; Low – 36. AM clouds with a little more sun this afternoon. A much cooler day.

PUEBLO: High – 57; Low – 38. A cooler day with some improvement in the skies.

CANON CITY: High – 55; Low – 40. Cooler today with morning clouds and more pm sun.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 46 Low – 30. A much cooler day and staying mainly dry.

TRI-LAKES: High – 40’s; Low – 30’s. A mainly dry and much cooler day.

PLAINS: High – 60; Low – 40’s. Much cooler day and mainly dry.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 60; Low – 40’s. Mainly dry and much cooler.

NEXT WEEK: The well below average air will stick around throughout the new week. Clouds build in again overnight into early Sunday with isolated showers. Shower chances ramp up Sunday and continue through Tuesday. Mountain snow will accumulate with mainly rain for the lower elevations. Some of our higher elevation areas like Teller County and the Palmer Divide could have some flakes mixing in overnight. Monday night into Tuesday morning should be the best chance for this. Skies start to improve late Tuesday into Wednesday. Tuesday looks to be the coldest night of the week, especially if skies can clear efficiently. Wednesday looks nice with some sunshine and the warmest temperatures of the week. Potentially another system to bring clouds and rain chances to end the week.
