Today is the final day of summer… but it’s going to feel more like a Fall afternoon! Most of southern Colorado will enjoy a dry and sunny day, but the morning may be a bit wetter and cloudier for areas south of highway 50 this morning. A cold front light night is throwing clouds and a few showers in the highway 50 corridor this morning and will push weak moisture up into the southern mountains in the I-25 corridor. Not much rain will fall and what does will be light with sunshine returning to the south this afternoon.

Fall starts tomorrow… but in a reversal of today, it’ll feel a bit more like Summer! Warmth returns on Saturday with dry and sunny skies as Colorado Springs warms to the lower 80s and Pueblo into the mid 80s. The bigger heat will come on Sunday with Springs into the mid 80s and Pueblo right near 90, a warm one for the chile festival. Cooler air will return early next week with a few rain chances Monday and Tuesday.
