So, with a cool front passing through tonight, the tail end of these fronts naturally moves slower than the lead edge near the storm center, and thus, often not only lags behind, but often gets caught up near mountains, leading to an upslope flow….which will be the case, through Wednesday, with diminishing returns Thursday through next Saturday. So, the shower chances are high the next several afternoons and evenings. In addition, temperatures will be pretty “cool” all week long, by August standards, so enjoy the break.
