Today’s Forecast:
The broken record continues for southern Colorado… we’ll be hot and dry again. It’s not all bad news, as rain and thunderstorms will run through the Continental Divide and western mountains, giving many of our forest and mountains much needed moisture. We’ll see sunny skies today push highs up towards 90 this afternoon in the Springs while Pueblo gets closer to 97. The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo parade is tonight and it’ll be a hot one so bring some extra water. Monsoon flow looks to try and bring back some rain by the end of the week, so keep your hopes up!

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 90; Low – 60. Hot and dry today with strong sunshine and a light afternoon breeze. Clear and warm tonight.

PUEBLO: High – 97; Low – 64. Very hot and dry today with strong sunshine and a light afternoon breeze. Clear and warm tonight.

CANON CITY: High – 94; Low – 65. Hot and dry today with strong sunshine and a light afternoon breeze. Clear and warm tonight.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 81; Low – 52. Warm and dry today with good sunshine and a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High – 80w; Low – 50w. Warm and dry today with good sunshine and a light breeze. Clear and mild tonight.

PLAINS: High – 90s/100s; Low – 60s. Very hot and dry today with strong sunshine and a light afternoon breeze. Clear and warm tonight.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 90s; Low – 60s. Hot and dry today with strong sunshine and a light afternoon breeze. Clear and warm tonight.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK OR NEXT WEATHER MAKER
Monsoon moisture makes a return by Thursday and possibly Friday. The winds aren’t out of the best direction for heavy rain on Friday but the models keep the air really moist and that could lead to a few heavy afternoon thunderstorms. Thursday we’ll watch for slow moving, heavy rain that will give burn scars an elevated risk for flooding. Saturday looks dry for now with more rain chances coming back early next week.
