PUEBLO — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region says nine of the cats taken in from the Steel City Alley Cats Coalition in Pueblo are now available for adoption.
This week HSPPR legally assumed ownership of all but five of 135 seized from the group.
The animals will stay in their custody as the case moves through the court system.
Animal neglect charges involving all of the seized animals have been submitted to the District Attorney's office for review.
The Humane Society says the other cats remain quarantined while receiving treatment.
In even better news one of those cats has already found a home!
