Crews contain small fire inside Rocky Mountain National Park

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK — Firefighters responded Sunday to a small wildfire sparked by lightning inside Rocky Mountain National Park.

Park officials said the fire is approximately 1/10 acre in size and started in the Lumpy Ridge area of the park.

Fire crews have a containment line around the fire and are conducting mop-up operations, a release stated.

Park fire crews and firefighters from the Estes Valley Fire Protection District were on scene.
