COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KOAA) — Crews were called to a structure fire in downtown Colorado Springs Monday morning that forced the closure of a road.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the fire was reported just before 3 a.m. in the area of Wahsatch Avenue and Costilla Street on the east side of downtown.
CSPD said the fire had been knocked down and that there were no known injuries. KOAA is awaiting additional information from the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
Police said southbound Wahsatch Avenue was expected to remain closed between Vermijo Avenue and Costilla Street. The closure was still in place as of 4:20 a.m.
