COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KOAA) — Administrative offices in Colorado Springs will be closed on Friday as part of the city's five scheduled furlough days planned for this year.
A list of the offices that will be closed is below:
- City Administration Building
- City Clerk
- City Hall
- Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum
- Deerfield Hills Community Center
- Municipal Court
- Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Administrative Building
- Sales Tax Office
- Sports Office at Memorial Park
- Westside Community Center
The City of Colorado Springs is currently facing a $31 million budget deficit this year.
To help save money, officials have planned five mandatory, unpaid furlough days for all city employees. However, it excludes anyone working in public safety.
The buildings above, as well as the ones below, will also be closed on Monday in observance of Presidents' Day:
- Administrative offices for Mountain Metropolitan Transit
- Evergreen and Fairview Cemeteries offices
- Hillside Community Center
- Therapeutic Recreation Program
- Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center
- Helen Hunt Falls Visitor Center
