(PEYTON) – Out in Peyton, you’ll find plenty of open spaces, a great view of the mountains, and a blacksmith shop run by 11-year-old Asher Camire.

On a regular day, you’ll find this young smithy out near his forge for hours on end, enjoying the, “The ring of the anvil… and the roar of the forge.”

He’s been practicing his trade for two years, but has been, “Fascinated by it for about four years,” Asher said.

He loves to create, and spends a great deal of time creating nails, hooks, bottle openers, which are taken to market. However, he prefers to forge in a creative way, “Like a sculpture, artistic work, scrolls, stuff like that.”

He hopes to someday have a much larger workshop, and eventually, give lessons to others, and “Inspire other kids to follow their dreams.”

If you would like to see more of Asher’s work and follow his journey to become a master smithy, you can check out his YouTube channel Echo of the Anvil.
