COLORADO SPRINGS — The El Paso County coroner's office released the identity of the man who was shot and killed Thursday morning outside of a Colorado Springs apartment complex.
Authorities say 27-year-old Alex Franklin died after he was shot in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Police said it happened around 6 a.m. when they responded to the area of the Ridgeview Place apartments on a shots fired call and found Franklin with at least one gunshot wound. He died from his injuries at the hospital. The complex is just west of Van Teylingen Way and N. Carefree.
Police have still not publicly identified a suspect or provided information about a suspect vehicle.
