Several more ski areas opened for the first week of December, including Copper Mountain, Howelson Hill, Steamboat, Winter Park, and Powderhorn.
The mountain snowpack hasn't increased substantially in the past week, with snow bases ranging from about 15-20 inches.
Over the weekend, warmer than average conditions will be felt state-wide. This will lead to sunshine and perhaps you will need to shed a few layers while on the slopes. Don't forget the SPF!
Ski area temperatures will be in the 30s or 40s, depending on elevation.
Temperatures should remain cold enough at night for any snowmaking.
