Looking ahead to ski conditions this weekend, the weather will be great overall.
Friday and Saturday will be sunny across the state, with temperatures running near or above average. Most mountain towns will be in the 20s or 30s these days. Do prepare for wind gusts in the 30 mph range.
Temperatures drop Sunday as the next storm approaches from the west. Snow moves into the San Juans Sunday morning, and expands into the central and northern mountains through the day.
Most resorts will pick up several inches of snow, with the highest impacts west of the continental divide. The moisture content of this storm will be fairly low, allowing for light and fluffy snow.
Take caution driving on Sunday if you plan to take advantage of the fresh powder.
