Posted
and last updated

We continue to plow through November (pun intended) and more Colorado ski resorts are opening. Steamboat opens Friday November 15. A date they say is their earliest opening ever! To celebrate you can score lift tickets for their first week for $50.

Another other major resort opening Friday, Vail, is thanking an early season due to their "largest snowmaking expansion project" yet.

Don't miss Winter Park's deal this Saturday, November 16 where you can buy 2 lift tickets for $80 total.

Forecast
Mostly good news in the weather this weekend: sunshine and mild temperatures with a chance of snow. Friday will be the warmest day of the weekend, with many resorts expecting to see 40s and 50s. A cold front arrives on Saturday to the state, impacting Steamboat in the afternoon with light snow showers, arriving Saturday night to the central mountains and I-70. This will be a fairly weak front, meaning travel should remain safe, with icy spots possible Saturday night. Bad news for powder lovers, accumulations will generally be less than an inch or two. Saturday and Sunday temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler than Friday, with breezy conditions.
