We are officially into the thick of December, and finally, a good dose of snow is expected for Colorado ski country.
The first round of snow will taper off Friday afternoon, with most ski areas getting about 4-8" from the first round.
The second round of snow moves in Saturday, where snow is possible all day long in the mountains. That round will add another 2-6 inches of fresh snow.
With snow expected, that also entails travel issues. Take extra caution on Friday and Saturday as the rounds will likely be snow-covered or slick in spots.
Prepare for subfreezing temperatures all weekend.
