Snow totals over the past several days have been AWESOME for the Colorado Rockies. A few of the top spots made it over the 5 foot mark, like Breckenridge and Loveland Ski Area.
This weekend starts with calmer weather, which will immensely help with travel conditions.
Friday:
Sunshine and breezy conditions expected. Gusts from 30-40 mph are likely, which will cause some blowing snow. Temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s for most ski areas.
Saturday:
Still gusty, so prepare for wind chills feeling 10 degrees cooler than the air temperature. Passing clouds, but generally staying dry. Temperatures just slightly cooler than Friday.
Sunday:
Snow moves back into the mountains, starting late Saturday night and continuing through Sunday evening. Most ski areas will pick up between 2-7 inches. This will make travel more hazardous, with roads becoming icy or snow packed.
