Severe weather blog: Severe thunderstorm watch issued in Colorado

4:40 pm | Heavy rain and up to 1/2 inch hail falling over Colorado Springs.

3:20 pm | Matt Minnillo sees 1/2 inch hail east of Colorado Springs near Ellicott.

2:50 pm | First severe thunderstorm warning in southern Colorado today includes Huerfano county. Heads up to Walsenburg as this storm may impact you within the hour.

2:00 pm | A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the entire Colorado front range and foothills. This is in effect until 9 pm Sunday evening. In southern Colorado this includes the counties of Las Animas, Huerfano, Custer, Pueblo, Otero, Crowley, Fremont, El Paso, and Teller counties.
