Church services happening this weekend for Gannon Stauch

A memorial was set up Monday for Gannon Stauch, the same day the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said his stepmother, Letecia Stauch, was taken into custody in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

FOUNTAIN — This weekend, special services are being held at Restoration Church to remember 11-year-old Gannon Stauch.

Three services are scheduled: Saturday night at 6 p.m. and Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and10:45 a.m. The goal - to bring hope and healing to Gannon's family and the community during this unimaginable time.

Gannon is presumed dead after the arrest of his stepmother, Letecia Stauch, who is charged with first-degree murder. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office said they have not found Gannon and will continue investigation efforts.

"The news this week has just severely impacted not only this church, but this community and it has caused a level of mourning that we haven't seen before," Media Pastor Andy Davenport said.

The church is asking everyone to consider wearing something blue - Gannon's favorite color.
