Safety a top priority at the State Fair

PUEBLO — State Fair officials keeping busy to make sure everyone is safe at the fairgrounds.

The Colorado State Fair employs about 300 people for the event. That includes people checking bags at the entrance, to those in golf carts roaming the grounds.

"They can certainly come out to the fair and see a lot of great things have a good, safe time and feel comfortable bringing their families, bring their kids, walk around the fair without concern," Security Director Paul Toth said.

The Pueblo Police Department will be ramping up enforcement around the city for the duration of the event.
