PUEBLO — The Pueblo Zoo is offering guests an opportunity to learn directly from an African dog expert about conservation efforts with their Donuts with Dogs event Monday.
According to a press release, Wilton Nsimango with the Zimbabwe organization Painted Dog Conservation will share "experiences, successes and challenges of working to conserve this extremely endangered species."
Guests will have the chance to speak with Nsimango after the presentation and participate in themed activities at the painted dog exhibit.
The African dog exhibit at the Pueblo Zoo was completed in 2015 and currently has two females and two males in the pack.
The event is included with the zoo's admission price and Pueblo Zoo members can enjoy Donuts with Dogs at no charge. It will run from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
