COLORADO SPRINGS — A power outage is affecting numerous businesses between I-25 to the west, Cascade to the east and then between Kiowa to the north and just south of Cimarron to the south. The outage is forcing the closure of Pikes Peak Community College's downtown studio campus at 4:30 and its has closed Penrose Library.
Numerous traffic signals may be out in the area. Be prepared to treat those as four-way stops and expect some delays. Colorado Springs Utilities crews are working to resolve the issue and have an estimated time for the power to be restored by 7:00 p.m. this evening.
