COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs Police are asking for help returning an urn to its proper owner.

In November of last year, the urn was found in a vehicle that had been towed. Based on information in the car, CSPD attempted to contact possible owners in Nebraska and in the Springs with no luck.

Now they hope to resolve the heart-breaking story by asking for help.

"We're really hoping that somebody is able to recognize one of the individuals, some family member, some friend, who can reach out to us and give us some information about where else we can look," said evidence manager Jennifer Underwood.

Anyone who can help is asked to call the CSPD Evidence Hotline at 719-444-7744.
