COLORADO SPRINGS — The U.S. Air Force Academy reopened its North Gate to Department of Defense personnel Wednesday, according to the Academy.

Those who have credentials will be able to use the North Gate from between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at this time. As the summer goes on, the Academy says it will refine the hours of operation.

At the end of March, the USAFA closed the North Gate to all traffic and used the South Gate for official business travel. The Academy has been closed to visitors since March 13 and open only for on-base residents, Air Academy High School student, and faculty, Department of Defense ID card holders, or anyone conducting official business.

The Academy said normal operations are continuing.
