ARAPAHOE COUNTY — For the last week, the Teller County Sheriff's Office has been looking for a suspect accused of killing and dismembering his roommate's dogs.

The Sheriff's Office reported Monday that the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office located the suspect Sunday night at a motel in Centennial.

Matthew Stephen Dieringer was located and taken into custody on a Teller County felony warrant for two counts of Aggravated Animal Abuse.

Dieringer is currently being held in the Arapahoe Detentions Facility on a $10,000.00 cash-only bond and will eventually be transferred to the Teller County Detentions Center.

The Teller County Sheriff's Office said they would like to thank the public for their interest in this case and vigilance in watching out for Dieringer. They would also like to thank law enforcement partners at the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.
