KEYSTONE — It's time, skiers!
Keystone announced it is opening Saturday for the 2019-20 winter season. This is the earliest it has opened in more than 20 years, according to a press release.
“With Keystone’s early opening, and Breckenridge’s plan to operate through Memorial Day, the two resorts will offer one of the longest ski seasons in the country, providing even more value for our Epic Pass holders,” said Jody Churich, Keystone’s new vice president and general manager, in a press release.
Mid-Friday, Arapahoe Ski Basin announced a late Friday start to season before full day service starting on Saturday.
Loveland Ski Area announced crews still need to make more snow on the lower section of the mountain before an opening date can be determined, possibly in mid-October or early November.
Keystone will open Sat, Oct 12 for our earliest opening in 20+ years! We're positioned to be the first ski resort in North America to open for the 19-20 season. Lifts will start turning as early as possible, so stay tuned for details. We’ll see you tomorrow for #KeystoneKickoff pic.twitter.com/EuvJwaqHBY
