FORT CARSON — For many families with Fort Carson soldiers, it's been a long nine months.
Soldiers serving on Operation Spartan Shield deployed to Kuwait in February, and over the last couple of weeks they've finally reunited with their families.
For Crystal Davis, like many moms in this situation, it's been a challenge being on our own and taking care of her daughter.
"Trying to juggle everything has been pretty tough, I've done a great job of it though," said Davis, "I'm pretty proud of myself but that's kind of been the toughest part but staying busy really helped and you just taking time to make sure I'm praying for him."
Hundreds of soldiers were a part of a couple of homecoming ceremonies on Fort Carson Wednesday. A few thousand soldiers have returned home over the coming weeks, just in time for the holidays with their families.
