PUEBLO — Pueblo police confirm to News5 a construction worker injured in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month has died from his injuries.
The worker, a 31-year-old man, was not a CDOT employee, but did work for a company contracted with the agency.
The crash happened on the southbound lanes of I-25 between City Center Drive and Ilex Street around 11 p.m. the night of Oct. 16.
Police are still looking for the suspect in the crash. Witnesses told police the driver was in a newer red or maroon 4-door Ford F-150 pickup truck.

That driver faces charges of vehicular assault causing death and leaving the scene of an accident without rendering aid, and possibly others, when caught.
