PUEBLO — A construction worker is in critical condition after being hit by a driver who left the scene Wednesday night, according to the Pueblo Police Department.
Police said the crash happened on the southbound lanes of I-25 between the City Center Drive and Ilex Street at around 11 p.m. No one else was hurt.
A News 5 crew on the scene says the left lane of southbound I-25 is closed, but the right lane is open. There was police activity and an ambulance at the scene until 5:50 a.m.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer Ford F-150 full-cab pickup truck that is red with black around the wheel wells. It may have damage on the driver's side.
PPD said there is no license plate information available at this time.
